Oh boy oh boy. They are at it again.
Today marks the year anniversary of one of combat sports most memorable beefs, on social media at least.
On August 12th, 2017 UFC superstar Conor McGregor broke the code of all fighters. He leaked footage of a sparring session between himself and the ‘Magic Man’, Paulie Malignaggi. The slick talking New Yorker has been drafted in to assist McGregor’s preparations for his battle with Floyd Mayweather.
The leaked footage appeared to show McGregor dropping Malignaggi. Malignaggi was not best pleased with this. And thus embarked a social media verbal war, which spilled into a face to face challenge more than once.
365 days later and ‘Notorious’ was keen to remind his former sparring partner of the events a year prior.
Time flies when you are on your ass. https://t.co/YDhLHi2p0o

If there is one thing i have learned in life, it is that you should never irk a New Yorker. Malignaggi did not take too kindly to McGregor’s reminder, and launched into one of his now infamous tirades.
Dude has had 2 kids and an ass kicking since this and he still lives off a fake knockdown that he knows wasn’t real lol. @TheNotoriousMMA your feelings are still hurt? Dont get ur feelings hurt u lil bitch its still our lil secret. Dont run for your life when they ring the bell😂 https://t.co/cW0q13USYm

The thirty-year-old from Crumlin, Dublin will make his long awaited return to the Octagon at UFC 229. McGregor will square off against Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC lightweight title. The contest will take place on October 6th in Las Vegas.
One can only hope that this latest set of verbal barbs doesn’t renew talk of the two squaring off.
