Unbeaten prospect Lewis Ritson is looking to stay busy and fight twice within a month. He is hopeful to get a shot to face Edis Tatli for the European lightweight title. The targeted date for the bout will be October 13th in Newcastle.
He may also have a stay busy fight on the Amir Khan undercard, on September 8th. Ritson has shown tremendous skills in the ring and has created a major buzz in the sport, as one of the prospects to keep an eye on. He has stopped his last seven opponents, with the longest bout only going seven rounds.
He is also the BB of C British lightweight titlist and has successfully defended his belt three times. He was last in the ring in June, defeating Paul Hyland Jr by first-round TKO. It was a very impressive showing for the 24-year-old.
He won the British title in October of last year when he defeated Robbie Barrett by seventh-round technical knockout. He has been on a tear since walking through Joe Murray, Scott Cardle and Hyland Jr, neither of these bouts when more than three rounds.
Should he get a shot at the European title and win the bout, it will not be long before you see him in the ring competing for a major world title. FightZoneNews.com will monitor the situation and have an update as soon as one becomes available.
